A landscaped garden is not just about beautiful plants. To fully enjoy your property, you need to take care of the yard equipment. Small architecture should decorate the garden next to the flowers and make the landscape more cozy and comfortable. A garden gazebo is a place where you can hide from the sun or rain, and also store a lot of things. There are several types of garden gazebos. Forged metal models are distinguished by their special aesthetics. Manufacturers are surpassing each other in creating more and more beautiful and interesting designs. Consider the beautiful wrought-iron gazebos in the photos presented for your dacha or home.
Advantages of forged gazebos
When choosing gazebos and garden furniture, you should take into account not only aesthetic, but also practical characteristics:
- durability of the material from which they are made;
- need for maintenance;
- weather resistance.
Today, different gazebos are available in the market. They are characterized by high strength and do not require frequent maintenance. Forged gazebos are exactly what they are, because users can relax in them without wasting time on labor-intensive painting and structural repairs.
Wrought iron gazebos are an investment that pays off. First of all, they are practically indestructible, resistant to any mechanical damage such as scratches. Their advantage is also the fact that iron gazebos perform perfectly in the garden, allowing the user to enjoy remarkable style and workmanship, blending harmoniously into the landscape, for example, in an industrial style or a more traditional one.
When choosing gazebos, it is worth paying attention to how they are made, for example, whether they are made by hand and whether the final product is properly protected from corrosion and rust during the production process.
Elite, expensive and unique
The price of a forged gazebo is determined by 2 factors:
- Size - the larger it is, the more building material needs to be purchased (in this case, metal).
- The complexity of forging - the more decorative elements there are, the more expensive they will cost you.
Original and large-scale solutions are the most expensive. Stamped examples, which cost much less, are manufactured using the same technology, and accordingly, they require less costs (at least in terms of labor). But to make such masterpieces, which are presented in the lower selection of photos, you need to invest serious money and a lot of time on welding.

Below is another very impressive version of a gazebo made with a non-standard roof. I especially admired the pillars - these thick pipes fit very organically into the overall concept of the structure. Low railings with an interesting pattern also look very impressive.
Impressive design and durability for many years
Wrought iron gazebos are characterized by durability, careful workmanship, rich designs and colors. In addition, due to the fact that the products are handmade, powder-coated and patinated, you will be able to use the forged gazebo for many decades, passing it on by inheritance.
It should also be noted that garden gazebos intended for outdoor use are galvanized, which can be both decorative and protective, increasing resistance to adverse external factors. Only later are they painted using the powder method, which almost forever protects them from corrosion. Thanks to this, forging also does not require special maintenance from users.
Structural classification of forged buildings
Depending on the shape, location, configuration, gazebos are divided into the following types.
Gazebo
Belvedere is a round-shaped architectural structure installed on a hill or above the level of the main building.
To create a structure on a hill, concrete blocks are often used, thanks to which the floor inside the gazebo is high and level.
The photo shows a beautiful example of a belvedere with forged elements, painted white with golden elements.
The belvedere can be complemented by forged railings and steps. Openwork patterns imitating various flowers and plants. Therefore, the design will look harmonious in the garden plot, near the pond.
Belvedere can be closed or open. But the latter type of structure is more popular. Perfectly protects from the scorching sun, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding landscapes.
Pergola
Pergola has a long history. Even during the Middle Ages it was considered a garden decoration. It consists of several trellises that serve as vertical support for climbing plants.
A pergola that looks like a tunnel is popular. Climbing plants planted around the perimeter beautifully entwine the supports and form a green corridor.
Several arches complement the design.
The standard pergola design consists of the following elements:
- support posts (made of metal rods, corrugated pipes);
- roof;
- decorative forged parts.
The roof resembles blinds, which can be opened/closed using mechanical or electrical control. In this way, regulate the flow of sunlight. The height of the pergola can be up to 2.6 m.
The flower pergola has strong pillars, which allows you to strengthen the slopes on the site.
Another type of pergola is a hut. Made of thin metal rods, round in shape. Decorated with floral forged elements.
Gazebo
The design of Italian architecture is successfully used in landscape design in many countries.
The special feature of the gazebo is that it is located in an open area, which provides visibility and approach to it from any direction. It can be open or closed.
To install the gazebo you need a flat area. The base can be stone, wood, or a simple gravel embankment.
The average area of gazebos is from 5 to 20 sq.m.
Canopy
The canopy can be a free-standing structure or adjacent to the house. Consists of pillars, roof, lintels. Installed on a concrete-filled platform lined with paving slabs.
For support beams, a corrugated pipe of round, square or rectangular cross-section is used. Corrugated pipe is also used for the roof frame, but with a smaller diameter. Along the perimeter the metal frame is decorated with forging elements. Roofs are made of polycarbonate, corrugated sheets, and metal tiles.
There are no restrictions or average values for area. Dimensions are determined depending on the needs of the site owners.
Rotunda
A rotunda is a round gazebo, which is located near a pond. Often built on a hill, it may have a stepped base. The roof is domed. Foundation - screw piles.
The supports, upper and lower parts of the rotunda are decorated with elements of artistic forging. An open-type structure, intended for recreation only in the warm season.
Arrangement of a forged gazebo
A wrought iron gazebo can be complemented with many other materials, allowing for an almost unlimited number of designs. For example, metal tables are very popular. Often clients decide to combine gazebos and wrought iron furniture with granite or wood. The most successful solution is folding chairs combined with wooden slats, which break the rather harsh style of the wrought iron gazebo, combining it with natural wood. Plastic is suitable as a budget option.
Options for a summer house with barbecue
The market offers the following format: a forged structure with a barbecue located inside for frying meat and a bench for barbecue, but there is no table for guests.
The result is an ordinary barbecue, which is simply aesthetically designed as a gazebo, in which it is pleasant for the person frying meat to be.
In my deep conviction, a gazebo is needed primarily to sit and communicate in it, and not to fry meat.
If you are looking for some kind of summer cottage option, then it is better to consider something similar to a classic wrought-iron gazebo, and install the barbecue somewhere next to it. The standard forged structures with barbecue did not impress me at all (photo below).
An option is possible when the grill is located inside the gazebo. However, there is an obvious drawback: the design is too large and expensive.
Its implementation is only possible on a large area where there is free space. This is not always advisable, however, everything is under one roof, and this can justify itself.
Features of manufacturing forged gazebos
Today you can choose gazebos in different colors from a wide palette. In addition to the base tone, you can also paint the furniture in the color of your choice. This option is available from almost every manufacturer. All wrought iron gazebos are made upon request. Companies produce designs based on individual customer projects, selecting the final product according to the most sophisticated wishes. In addition to our wide selection of wrought iron furniture, you can consider other types of metalwork, both black and stainless steel, including carved balustrades and fences.

Forged gazebos (photo simple and beautiful): why should you choose?
Forged garden gazebos are characterized by high strength. Thanks to the material, such structures can remain unchanged for many years. It is important to note that metal garden gazebos are solid, so the risk of overturning or being damaged by wind is minimal. These types of gazebos are recommended primarily for people who do not have much time to care for small architecture in the garden.
What type of forging is best to choose for building a gazebo?
The metal base for forging can be steel, iron, copper. The best raw materials for forging are those containing about 13% fullerene. It is easier to work with such metal when creating various ornaments.
There are 2 types of forging:
- cold (factory, stamped);
- hot (artistic, manual).
Cold forging requires the purchase of special equipment and workpieces. In stores you can always buy standard cold forging elements in the form of spirals, petals, curls and weld them to the frame of the gazebo yourself. Accordingly, cold forging will be cheap, but its patterns will be repeated. The structure will not be unique. But, at the same time, this is a budget option for small country gazebos. The finished product will come out neat and attractive.

Artistic forging is much more difficult to perform, since it is completely done by hand by a blacksmith. The metal is heated until it obtains a bright red color, and beautiful ornaments and entire paintings are created with special tools. The process requires time, patience, and most importantly, skill. Original work is always expensive because it has no repetitions. The gazebo will be unique, unparalleled. Artistic forging is used to create expensive luxury gazebos and outrageous products.
But today you can increasingly find gazebos where both types of forging are harmoniously combined.
What to look for when choosing?
Wrought iron garden gazebos usually cost more than wood due to the material used and its durability. There is no point in choosing structures that are made poorly, because it may not even survive the first winter, especially since this type of gazebo is more vulnerable to corrosion. A very important aspect is also the appearance of the shelter. Metal makes it possible to make different designs, so you should choose the best, not hackneyed models.
How to complement a garden with a wrought iron gazebo?
Metal is an extremely durable and at the same time flexible material, which allows you to create interesting designs. That is why it is often used for the production of garden and terrace furniture, as well as gazebos. Properly protected construction, such as by powder coating, will last for many years. In addition, an interesting and unique design adds originality to the entire estate. Today, outdoor ironwork offerings include benches, armchairs, stools, chairs, tables, flower beds, lounge chairs, swings, and elegant sets including metal tables and garden chairs. In addition, the assortment includes forged, cast iron and wire items in many colors. The gazebo and garden are an ideal place for forging.
The beautiful wrought iron gazebos in the photo gallery of this article offer metal garden furniture in classic, retro and baroque styles, as well as antiques. Openwork patterns and decorations give the gazebo lightness, originality and elegance. Forged metal elements always have an aristocratic appearance.
Unusual and original
You can put anything into the term “unusuality,” especially when talking about abstract decorative forging. Here I tried to select options that differ in some elements from standard stamped structures.
Such buildings do not always look beautiful from a standard point of view, since they have their own “special” aesthetics.
Some ideas are seriously surprising. For example, a bone dragon, whose wings are both a roof and a canopy over wooden benches. An ideal option to shock the public and guests. I can’t imagine how much the forging cost and which craftsman took on it, but the welded structure turned out amazing (in my opinion
